Are you allowed to purchase your own appliances or materials?

We have found that having HCI supply all materials is best. This will provide you with a better warranty and allow you to progress through building your dream home more efficiently.

Are there any financial incentives for using the builder’s preferred lender?

Banks will only work with builders that they approve. They check credit, regulatory requirements, building history, and references.

How many years have you been in business?

What are the most important benefits of the homes you build?

The quality, attention to detail, customer service, and flexibility to customize the home to your needs. We insist on having consistent, continuous communication throughout the entire process of building your home. This starts before shovels are put in the ground.

What are the major energy-saving features of homes you build?

Our homes are built to the strict requirements of Washington State energy codes. We also have the ability to go far beyond with things like solar, high-efficiency building envelopes, highly efficient heating and cooling systems, and hot water tanks, to name a few.

What standard features do your homes include? What options and upgrades can I select?

Your home is fully customizable! The great part of building a custom home is it can be tailored to your lifestyle and desires.

Who will oversee the construction of my home? Who should I contact with any questions I may have?

Jordan is available by phone, email, or text message during regular business hours for any questions you may have.

How and when can I make changes or upgrades before and during construction?

Changes can be made before or during the construction of your home. However, having your design and selections completed before will allow your project to move faster with a lower overall cost. 

How and when will the final price for my home be determined?

The price of your home can be determined by all of the following: the cost of your land, designing your home, the cost of materials, and the actual building. The “when” can be better determined once decisions on design and interior selections are made and quoted. Of course, if changes are made, those will change the cost of building your home.

How often (and when) will I have access to the home during the building process?

We like to have weekly on-site meetings with our clients to cover progress, changes, questions, and options during the build process. 

How long will it take to build the new home?

The building process is normally around eight to twelve months from start to finish. This does not include the permitting and design time. 

What’s your inspection process at key points of construction, at the final walk-through, and to address any matters that need to be corrected or finalized?

Our weekly meetings keep everyone up to date and will address any concerns that may arise during construction. At completion, we do a walk-through with our clients, answering questions on how things work and noting any issues that need to be addressed prior to them moving in. One year after your home is completed, we will check back in with you again.
